Since comedian Joan Rivers died at the age of 81 caused by a throat surgery, there hasn’t been a search for a replacement for her position at the Fashion Police. The latest details in this matter is that Melissa Rivers has made a recent report as in said: “That the show can continue producing as long as her mother’s replacement is someone that her mother would have loved”. Joan Rivers was an icon in elegance and in everyones opinion irrepleacable. As in this week one of her BFF’s has been asked to step in the shadows of legendary ‘Miss Rivers’.
None other then Kathy Griffin confirmed the job offering of the E! tv-channel who produces the show Fashion Police. There were earlier buzz ringing in September, but those were none confirmed and denied by the red-haired comic Kathy Griffin.
At the Make Equality Reality Gala Kathy Griffin told, “They did offer me, but I don’t know if the situation is correct or right at this time for me. We’ll see”. In our opinion miss Griffin is fit for this job, because she has worked in the past for E!, did interviews with celebrities on the redcarpet with co-companion Star Jones. The television network fired her after Kathy Griffin made a joke by saying that Dakota Fanning had been admitted to rehab for drug and alcohol abuse.
When Rivers passed away, Griffin paid tribute to her by saying: “A legend, a friend, a mentor, an icon, and wildly funny. One of a kind. RIP #JoanRivers”.
Update: We have a following statement from E!, that reads: ‘We have thought long and hard about what Joan would have wanted as it pertains to the future of Fashion Police. ‘We decided, with Melissa Rivers’ blessing, that Joan would have wanted the franchise to continue.’
The Fashion Police will return in 2015 and there will be a Golden Globes coverage on monday the 12th of January. Make sure you won’t miss a thing, if Kathy will be in it or not.
